What will I learn?
Continuing Education

Even after you complete your open-water diver certification course, you may find you want additional training. In fact, most divers continue to build their knowlege as a diver. Sometimes the next step is to enroll in an advanced open-water diver course, which will build on top of what you have just learned in the open-water class, or you may enroll in a rescue diver class that will teach you additional safety skills as well as how to assist others in the water.
Then a world of specialty classes awaits those eager for more training. Some forms of diving, such as ice diving, cave and cavern diving, and wreck diving require additional training, as there are important safety issues to be aware of any time a diver enters into an over-head environment – an environment that prevents the diver’s direct ascent to the surface at any time. Unique specialty courses are available from region to region – each one highlights a kind of local diving. So, whether you’re planning to explore a local quarry or start taking your own underwater photographs, there’s a course waiting for you.
